Wahab believes that the squad has a solid combination, and that consistency is vital for league success.

“When the opportunity to enter politics presented itself, I attempted to seize it. I had considered doing anything for sports other than cricket. Cricketers get more daily perks and fame.”

“We have a lot to do for the Olympics and other games, such as hockey, squash, and badminton. My goal is to hold more competitions and provide incentives to the participants.”

Despite being replaced as captain by Babar Azam, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Karachi Kings by two runs in their first encounter. Wahab believes that the squad has a solid combination, and that consistency is vital for league success.

“Peshawar Zalmi have begun well in the PSL, but consistency must be maintained. The first match’s triumph has given me confidence, and a nice team combination has also been developed. It doesn’t matter to me who is performing; what matters is how I perform “He stated.

When asked about being blasted for six maximums in a row by Iftikhar Ahmed during an exhibition match, Wahab remained upbeat and congratulated Iftikhar for his excellent form.

“I don’t mind getting smacked for six sixes. There was no sadness when I was hit for six maximums, and there is no sadness now. Iftikhar Ahmed, who is in excellent form, deserves special mention. It’s not simple to hit six sixes. It was an exhibition game, so it wasn’t as intense as a regular-season battle. What matters in the PSL is performance.”

The Peshawar Zalmi will meet the Multan Sultans at the Multan Cricket Stadium on February 17th.
