Today, the Gladiators will face Islamabad United.

Players from the Quetta Gladiators met with cancer patients before of their match against Islamabad United in the ongoing eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Hafeez, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Naseem Shah were among the Gladiators’ contingent, which was led by Sarfaraz Ahmed.

At the meeting, the players presented the children with signed bats and Quetta Gladiators shirts.

It is worth noting that the Babar Azam-led Peshawar Zalmi visited cancer patients at the Indus Hospital on Wednesday to promote hope and joy.

Zalmi Foundation, a Peshawar Zalmi initiative, took to Twitter to post photos of the players meeting with patients and signing souvenirs.

The Gladiators will face Islamabad United in their fifth PSL 8 match today at the National Bank Cricket Complex in Karachi (Friday).

The 2019 PSL champions have had a poor start to the season, with only one win in their first four games. They were defeated by Multan Sultans by nine wickets in their season opener before defeating Karachi Kings by six runs.

Meanwhile, Sarfaraz’s team lost the following two games to Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars, respectively.

The Gladiators are at the bottom of the league table and will need to beat Islamabad United to move up the standings and increase their prospects of making the play-offs.

It is worth noting that the winner of PSL 8 will not only receive the Supernova Trophy, but also a payment for Rs120 million, while the runners-up will receive a cash for Rs48 million.

Lahore Qalandars will try to become the first team to win back-to-back championships, while Islamabad United will try to become the most successful team by winning the trophy three times.
