The captain of the Karachi Kings directed Akif Javed to bowl bouncers to Ihsanullah.
Karachi Kings defeated Multan Sultans by 66 runs on Sunday, but the game was marred by foul language on the field.
Imad can be heard in the background urging Akif Javed not to bowl a full length delivery to Ihsanullah and instead to bowl bouncers to him after Anwar Ali’s dismissal in the 16th over.
Imad used an insulting phrase for Ihsanullah when conveying these instructions.
“Don’t bowl full delivery to this ******, only bouncers,” Imad instructed.
Imad promptly placed a leg slip for Ihsanullah, who eventually survived Akif’s three balls and remained not out on nought as his team was bowled out for 101 runs in the next over.
The lanky Sultans bouncer, who is the tournament’s leading wicket taker, has been a thorn in Karachi Kings’ side, bowling economical periods against them in the last two games.
Imad was fined 5% of his match fee last year for a Level 1 violation of the PSL Code of Conduct following Karachi Kings’ one-run loss to Islamabad United in the 21st match of the HBL Pakistan Super League 2022 at the Gaddafi Stadium.
Imad was judged to have breached Article 2.5 of the PSL Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Workers, which states that “using language, actions, or gestures that denigrate or potentially induce an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during a PSL Match” is prohibited.
